We all had such a good time and there was never a dull moment. I got a good taste of what it is like to have a 5 and 3 year old 24/7 and now Cory and I are thinking that we may wait another year before venturing into parenthood. :) Ava was potty training and I thought that I could get her to use the potty on her own, but I failed miserably. I tried bribing, giving treats, high fives, dancing with excitement, punishment (saying she won't get to wear her panties..blah, blah), and finally I got so tired of trying all these things that I told her it was just gross, that nobody enjoys or appreciates wiping her butt, and that she was just going to wear her pull-ups because I couldn't handle it anymore. Even this didn't work that little stinker! She is definitely going to do it on her own time.
We all enjoyed searching for bugs, playing with Play Foam (this stuff is so cool and much better than Floam!!), playing at the parks, and painting our own ceramics. The U Paint It store was the most fun part...I think that we all had smiles on our faces the whole time! Cory was so cute too, really getting into creating his own mug...hahaha. Here are some pictures of our time together:

Searching for bugs for the "bug playground" we got them
Mawmaw and Ashlyn at Martha's Bloomers (a neat little garden shop and cafe in Navasota)
A rare caption of Ava smiling AT the camera...usually she turns her head or runs off!
I love this picture, it's so cute! They had so much fun feeding the ducks, except when the ducks started to come towards them.
I wish that I could still get away with doing silly faces!
This picture cracks me up because it shows Ava's funny personality. Her stares and looks are all for show to get us laughing and it works every time. How does she keep such a straight face?!?!

Tamera! You could have doctored up my picture with Ashlyn to make me look thinner. I loved spending time at your house with some of my favorite girls.
Thank you for having me.
Love,
Mawmaw
Great to see pictures of my niece and great nieces--you too, Cory. Aren't blogs fun? Love, Merlee
