My beautiful parents

Pregnant again!
Ashlyn dancing to the music of the live band...she does great spins!

I had the most wonderful 4th of July weekend! The 4th was actually pretty low-key due to rain and the fact that Cory was on a job, but I did attend our neighborhood fireworks show that was amazing!! Of course we only got to see half of the fireworks due to getting rained out, but it was worth it! Tex absolutely does NOT like fireworks at all and I have to make sure that when I let him out that he doesn't just take off (I have lost him before and it scared the &*$# out of me!). The picture below is a rare caption because he kept freaking out and running to the door.
It happened to be Cory's 4-day weekend off and we headed to my parents to go furniture shopping at the Dallas Market. We relaxed as much as possible and just enjoyed each other's company. The last day we were there Cory was acting strange by standing underneath the atrium where we were married (it was an outdoor wedding at my parents) and he had his little sneaky/up to something grin on his face. I didn't know what he was up to until last night when we got home and went out for a romantic dinner alone. We had been talking about starting a family next year and I was asking him if he thought I would be a good mother and that's when he surprised me with a RING! (We had the most untraditional wedding, so I never got an "engagement" ring, just our wedding bands.) We already had the diamond but after 2 years of marriage, I didn't think that he would EVER surprise me. He handed it to me and said "you are going to be a wonderful mother and you have been a wonderful wife"....I just melted. He was so cute and excited. It was the proposal I never had. I am a very lucky woman and it was definitely worth the wait! I have tried to take a picture of it but it's too sparkly, so the pictures come out blurry...sniffle. He told me that he thought it would be romantic to give me the ring where we were married, so that was why he was acting so weird at my parents. The dinner idea could not have been more perfect though. I am not a crier, but I did get a little teary-eyed.

WAIT, I got a picture! This is as good as it is going to get.
I would have to say that this was the best 4th of July I have ever had! I told Cory that I can't wait to go on more romantic dates....hehehe!
