A Celebration of friends and neighbors!

This past weekend Cory and I threw a little shin-dig to meet our new neighbors (acutally so they could meet us since we are the "new" ones). A majority of them showed up and we all had a great time! We had a crawfish boil, which we have never done, and it turned out to be a success...although I couldn't eat the corn, potatoes, or onions because the seasoning was way too spicey! I guess that is cajun food for ya. Even though it rained and rained Saturday, we still had a great time. I wish that we could have hung out in our backyard, which is what I had planned, but instead we set up shop in the garage and put a canaopy in the driveway.

We were so worried that we wouldn't have enough food and beer for everyone, so we ordered 2 saks of crawfish (of which are still alive by the way) and a keg of Dos XX. Of course we had plenty to go around plus some, which was unfortunately wasted (along with my husband who tried to finish off the keg with a buddy of his). The fun part of having way more than we needed was that we were all entertained by Lola trying to play/eat the live crawfish. I had not laughed that hard in a long time! She had no clue what to do with it and when she would try to grab it, it grabbed her back...hahaha...just thinking about it makes me laugh!! Here are some pictures:
