BIG NEWS!!!

Well, we finally did it....WE ARE PREGNANT!! Cory and I are happy to announce that we are expecting a little one. I know, some of you are either completely shocked or you are saying "it's about time". We kept it a secret that we were even thinking about it back in May because we kept getting pestered (you know who you are!) to have children, so it was a huge surprise to my sister and parents...I guess I just busted you. :) Cory and I are extremely excited and ready for this new adventure. What a ride it will be!

Our first appointment was 2 weeks ago, which was so amazing. We were able to see him/her moving around and doing a little gig (I thought it was doing crunches) hehe. It was also incredible to see the spine, umbilical cord, heart beat, brain forming, and little arm and leg buds. We are now going into our 11th week, so the belly is starting to grow much faster it seems. I can't believe that we are already almost in the 2nd trimster! I am looking forward to it so that I will hopefully get my energy back, at least for a little while. I have been lucky in that I only felt nauseous for a couple weeks and recently that has gone away. I have my appetite back yet there are still some foods that make me cringe...especially BROCCOLI!!!! YUCK. My sister and Mom don't think it is fair that I never got sick, but maybe this is a sign that we are having a boy!! We hope to find out sometime in November if our guess is right. It would be nice to have some boys in the family! Either way, we just want a healthy baby come April.

I am still working as a Personal Trainer and plan on continuing until the end. My boss is wonderful as well as my co-workers, and they are all very excited. It is nice to work for someone who is supportive and encouraging...I think they just can't wait to see my belly grow. :) It is obviously known that working out while pregnant is beneficial (as long as your doctor says it's okay!) and I am going to have to agree 110%! I believe that it has helped me out tremendously just in this short time with symptoms. I am still doing my regular workout before I was pregnant, just taken down a notch or 2. I haven't been emotional or anxious and I feel really good. I just hope that I can keep it up and stay strong the whole way through!

I am going to try my hardest to keep up with this blog, as I have slacked this whole summer..oops! I hope that everyone is well and ready for some cooler weather...here comes Fall! This is a belly picture at 10 weeks:

CONGRATULATIONS! Oh that is such happy news! We are getting ready for #2 next month (a boy) and we are so excited. Having babies changes everything- and really in all the best ways. Sometimes I lay in bed at night and just laugh out as I remember the things that Lucy did that day. I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world. Hard work but oh-so-rewarding.
Best wishes!
