I couldn't be happier that Spring is finally here..well, sorta. Yesterday was absolutely beautiful but it is strange that just last week it snowed. That's Texas weather for ya! I am definitely looking forward to the warm days ahead, spending my days outside, driving past huge patches of spring flowers (Indian Paint Brushes are my favorite!), and having so many choices when it comes to the weekends with different festivals, celebrations, rodeos, wine trails, etc. I would have to say that Spring is the best season...for me at least!
And speaking of festivals and Arts and Craft shows, a couple weekends ago I was in Austin to visit my 3 favorite girls and we all had a blast!! It was the first time Kim had taken the girls out by herself since Kora arrived. I was there of course to help and we all enjoyed spending time together and getting out of the house. We went to an arts and crafts festival downtown and here are some pics:

This is about all Kora did the whole day...what a life!
Ashlyn and Ava got to make sand designs

A very happy Ava after she and I had a little talk. I told her that if she wanted to ride the horses that I would buy her a ticket if she repeated after me.."I will have NO more cranky pants"..we both won! I think that she is smiling for the both of us. :)
The girls are showing off their "Brandon Bracelets". Sgt. Brandon is my cousins husband who left for Iraq in January. Cortney made these bands with his name on them and we wear them all the time to remind us that there are loved ones over there fighting for our freedom to be able to enjoy days like these. We are always thinking of you Brandon and thank you for all that you do for us!!!
This picture was taken after our long day out on the town and what is so funny about it is that Ashlyn passed out holding her hurt shin. She banged it up at Central Market playing on the playground and was so dramatic, tired, and in a little pain that she cried and held her leg all the way home and ended up falling asleep like that. I about died laughing when I opened her door to get her out and found her like this. Oh the stories I can't wait to tell her boyfriends (when she turns 21 of course!).
