Yea, a new computer and new blog!!

It has been a while since I was able to blog but I AM BACK! A lot has gone on since the last one, so I will try to fill everyone in with as short of a blog as I can.

Cory and I recently got back from vacationing in Cancun, which was a blast! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Royal Cancun, an all-inclusive resort with gorgeous rooms and plenty of things to do! We took a couple of fun trips....one to Chichen Itza, which is a world-known tourist destintation exploring the Mayan culture with the incredible pyramids, temples, scriptures, and history. My favorite adventure was the Zipline Jungle Tour. We had a blast flying down 3 ziplines over the cenotes/jungle, snorkeling in the pure cenotes, mountain biking, and doing a jungle walk. It was so much fun and I'm pretty sure that Cory and I both had perma-smiles the whole time! The only bad part of the trip was on our way back home. Unfortunately I ended up getting a severe case of food poisoning at the airport in Mexico and barely made it home. That was definitely the WORST day of my life! I didn't think I was going to make it but I somehow I did without thoroughly embarrassing myself on the plane. Those little bags they provide would not have been big enough...haha, TMI! Needless to say, we had a great time but I was SOOOO happy to get home! Here are some pics...

The beautiful guestroom

The view from our room of the ocean and huge pool!

A very happy hubby with his cuban cigar, red wine, and room service menu!

This is one of many pure cenotes. The lighting was just perfect!

Dinner at a hibachi grill...Yummy!

El Castillo "The Castle". This temple represents the calender year with each side, step, and corners representing each day of the week, month, year. It was amazing to hear about how well-thoughtout it was while they built it!

Weeeee...this was the highest zipline we went on and of course my favorite!

Cory with a huge smile!

Snorkeling in the cenote at the Mayan village. The water was so clear and beautiful.

Other big news is that my sister is having another girl!! I think I already told everyone but if not then now ya know. She found out when we were in Mexico, so as soon as we landed in Houston, I turned my phone on and called her. My nieces are so excited to have another sister and are cute when they talk about it. Ava will know how it feels to be a big and little sister...how lucky!

Lastly, I have decided to become a Personal Trainer due to the fact that I just LOVE fitness! I have recently signed up to take a course and exam at The Cooper Institute in Dallas and will be certified in December. I am so lucky and happy to have already found a job at the gym that I workout at. Now all I have to do is pass the exam and then I can officially kick some butt! hehe, I promise I will be gentle. I am so excited to be able to help and encourage others (especially woman and pregnant women) lose weight, get toned, feel good about themselves, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Eventually I want to specialize in Pre/Postnatal and nutrition. I told my sister and mom that now they HAVE to listen to me when I try to help them out...HAHA!

That's about all the news I have for now but I promise to stay better in touch with everyone! We just got our new computer, so I have no excuse not to. I hope all of you are doing well and are getting excited about the upcoming holidays...I am! Take care!

How much fun! I want to go back to Mexico so bad! I'm sorry to hear you got Montezuma's Revenge. If you ever get sick again take pepto every 30 minutes for about 6 hours. Something in the pepto will kill the bacteria that is making you sick. I am not surprised at all that you are going to be a personal trainer. That does not surprise me at all! You have always been in such great shape! Have a great week!!!
