The Glory of being Homeowners!

There isn't much excitement going on around here, so I hope that I won't bore you too much with this blog. Lately we have found a new hobby...clearing our yard! Yeah, I am sure all of you would have volunteered to help if we had mentioned it..hehe. We have about 2 acres, most of which still hasn't been cleared or manicured, so it will probably be a project we work on as long as we are living here. Recently we have been trying to make the front look a little better and still have a long way to go but here are some before and after pics:

I really don't mind working in the yard because it's a great workout and I don't have to go to the gym BUT the cons weigh in heavily too like the hot/muggy Texas weather, snakes, red-spikey spiders, yellow spiders, brown spiders, black spiders with freaky green eyes...you get my point. Here is one example of the MANY we have...Cory tells me that this one is a "good" one but I am sorry, anything with more than 4 legs creeps me out! I like snakes though...

The only other good news I have to report is that my parents found a house near Lake Georgetown and moved in a week ago! We are all so excited to be living much closer to each other. Now when I go into Austin, I get to see my sister AND my parents at the same time...YIPPY! Since they are moving from 15 acres to 1 acre, we have acquired 2 cats (one of which was mine in college, so we get him back...welcome back Frisco!). The other cat, Moochie, supposedly is a real &*#@!! As we were driving away last weekend my Dad laughed mischievously and told Moochie "good riddens". I am sure my parents did a little dance and laughed at us as we drove away. She definitely lives up to her reputation, as she has already bitten and scratched me numerous times. Cory won't even go near her (what a gentleman, he lets his wife take the beating). :)

Lola isn't too sure about the cats but they have been working on their relationship. She wants to play so badly but the cats don't find it "fun" when Lola (only 90 lbs) starts jumping around them...I just don't understand why...hehe. Here are some pictures of our family from this week:

Spoiled!

Haha, Tex blends into the floor!

This is Frisco...*notice Lola trying to get a peek and as close as possible under Cory's arm..all you can really see is her pink tongue, too funny!*

Your house is beautiful, and nice work on the yard. I have to admit that it doesn't seem like much fun, especially with the crawly creepy things you encounter.
